Herbed Compound Butter Recipe

  • 1 shallot
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 sticks salted butter, at room temperature
  • Large handful of herbs (any combination you like)
  • 4 ounces brie cheese (optional variation), at room temperature


  • Add shallot and garlic to a food processor and pulse until finely minced.
  • Throw in the butter, herbs, and brie (if using).
  • Process until well blended.
  • Wrap in plastic and refrigerate.
  • Let come to room temperature before using in a thousand delicious ways.
